Umpiring
Umpiring is an integral part of officiating the game of Netball. Umpires don’t just enforce the rules, but they help keep the game safe, fair and fun for everyone.
Being an Umpire can help you develop personal skills like communication, resilience and leadership.
- Those players aged 12 years and over are encouraged to nominate to FNC to undertake the basic umpire training course provided by SCNA.
- An umpire development pathway is clearly laid out by SCNA and those who are interested, can proceed through to a nationally recognised umpiring qualification.
- The Club is required to provide umpires to SCNA to assist with the running of the competition. The club supports players, siblings, parents or others in becoming umpires.
- Club Umpires may also be called upon to assist teams playing in carnivals.
- All club umpiring enquiries regarding nominations and pathways should be directed to the umpiring coordinator of the club at flindersnetballclub@gmail.com.
